Introduction:

Foolad Kuban Company, located in Isfahan, Imanshahr Industrial Zone, started its activity in automobile industry in the field of forging and pressing in 1995. In 2008, it changed its activities to produce various types of steel pellets needed by mining industry in accordance with the international standards. The plant is equipped with machining, pressing, molding, various types of heat treatment furnaces, metallurgical laboratories and lathe workshops.

Activities:

One of the activities of Fulad Kuban Company is production of various forging parts in accordance with the international standards, which was done by establishing a machining, press and molding unit, with necessary facilities, appropriate equipment and employing experienced people.

The company currently has the capacity to produce steel pellets with a diameter of more than 100 mm, using closed molds, with a nominal capacity of 12,000 tons per year.

In roll forging field, it has ability to produce steel pellets of 60 and 80 mm sizes with a capacity of 18,000 tons per year.

In addition, in its development plan, the company has operationalized a hot rolling line (billet to rebar). The hot rolling line with a production capacity of 36,000 tons per year has been put into operation in 60, 80, 90 and 100 mm sizes.

Specifications of technical units:

Rolling unit

One of the methods of forming metals is hot rolling. In this method, metal stock is heated in furnace at a warm working temperature (above half the melting temperature). Immediately after leaving the furnace, by passing through one or more pairs of rolls, it becomes the desired shape.

The rolling unit of Fulad Kuban Factory converts all kinds of square billets (100 * 100, 120 * 120 and 125 * 125 mm) into 60, 80 and 100 mm diameter rebar. With the new amendments, the unit will be able to produce billets up to 150 * 150 mm. The capacity of this unit is currently 50,000 tons per year.

Semi-continuous forging unit (forging by hammer and press)

The Forge Steel Parts Factory has several preheating furnaces, three 1600 and 1000 ton Russian impact presses, thermal and operating furnaces, a molding unit and etc. The factory has the capacity to form industrial parts from one kilogram to 30 kilograms.

Continuous forging unit (forging by roll forging)

The raw materials (rebar with tolerance up to 0.4 mm) are placed on loading table and transferred to the preheated furnace with a capacity of 40 tons per hour by the conveyor. It is then sent to roll forging machine, which consists of two rollers. After rolling, the pellets are placed on an automatic heat treatment line with a capacity of 15 tons per hour, which includes a furnace, a hard work tank (by oil or water), and a return furnace. The preheated furnace and other furnaces are gas-fired. All types of alloys, from soft to hard, can be forged by roll forging rollers.
