The aim of this project is to build a lime plant for producing Quicklime (150 TDP) and a hydration plant for producing Hydrated Lime (10 TPH) in Azarbaijan province.

First, the three keywords limestone, baked lime, and hydrated lime are explained.
Limestone is a naturally occurring mineral that consists principally of calcium carbonate. Part of the calcium carbonate may have been converted to dolomite by replacement with magnesium carbonate as a secondary component. Some limestones are remarkably pure, with less than 5 % of non-carbonate impurities in the world. Limestone is found in many forms and is classified in terms of its origin, chemical composition, structure, and geological formation. It occurs widely throughout the world, and is an essential raw material for many industries.
Quicklime is produced by the thermal dissociation of limestone. Its principal component is calcium oxide. Its quality depends on many factors including physical properties, reactivity to water and chemical composition. As the most readily available and cost-effectively, quicklime plays an essential part in a wide range of industrial processes.
Hydrated Lime is produced by reacting, quicklime with water and consists mainly of calcium hydroxide. The term includes hydrated lime (dry calcium hydroxide powder), milk of lime or hydrated lime.
Now we explain process of limestone to hydrated lime briefly.
In most operations, crushers are selected with care to produce the required amounts of aggregate-sized particles, without over-production of fines. Thus, in this project used Jaw crusher to crushing limestone from 400 mm to 0-80 mm. After classification (The particle size 40-80 mm), In the absence of Limestone or Calcium carbonate only reacts with oxygen at temperatures about 900 °C in KILN furnace with two shafts. The result of this reaction is Calcium oxide (CaO) or Quicklime.
At the end of the process the quicklime milling with hammer mill and react with water. It should be noted that, this reaction occurred with HYDRAX equipment technology to produce hydrated lime.
One of the important achievements is to learn and use the most important technologies in the world in designing, installing and implementing of equipment for quicklime and hydrated lime plant. Due to the lack of lime factories equipped with the latest technology in the country, the Ahar lime plant project has been established. According to the design of Iranian engineers under the supervision of CIMPROGETTI company, this plant will be able to produce 150 Ton/d of quicklime and 10 Ton/h of hydrated lime. This project not only meets the needs of various industries for consuming quicklime and hydrated lime, but also prevents the outflow of foreign currency from the country. This project will also create jobs in the region. Due on the high quality of products, increasing of capacity will make it possible to export and also could help the country’s economy to some extent.
The aim of this project is to develop and modernize Khatoon Abad Copper Smelting Plant with a production capacity of 120,000 tons of anode copper per year.
The aim of this project is to build a hip leaching plant in the Songun Copper Complex with a production capacity of 3,000 tons per year of cathode copper.
